Nepal is both serene, peaceful and adventurous. On my recent solo trip to Serbia in autumn of 2021, I discovered a few nuances about Serbia, that you need to know before visiting Serbia during covid-19.

Visit Serbia for at least 1 week and don’t just base yourself in Belgrade. It might get a little hectic, but try to at least base yourselves in Belgrade as well as Zlatibor or Mokra Gora.
Explore Western Serbia – if you’re into hiking, then December to April is not the ideal time to visit but if there’s no snow, you can opt to stay in Tara National al Park itself. They have cute little holiday homes there. October would be the perfect month, if you like to hike.
If you don’t care about hiking or don’t prefer holiday home concepts, base yourself in Zlatibor city. They have luxurious hotels there. If you wish to have a more authentic Serbian stay, you can opt to for an accommodation in Sirogojno or Mokra Gora Village.

Keep 3 full days to explore Western Serbia and remember the weather can be quite unpredictable from November to April. So factor that in your itinerary.
If you’re a wine lover and enjoy the chilled out atmosphere of European towns, visit Novi sad. It is a charming city and you’ll instantly fall in love with it. It is a city but has a small town-like feel to it.
You can either base yourself in Novi Sad and explore Subotica and Sremski Karlovci. Or you could spend a night in Subotica to have more time there. 
The architecture is the USP of Subotica. 

A Covid-19 vaccine certificate is mandatory to enter any club or restaurant post 8pm.

As to enter Serbia, you either need a vaccine certificate or a negative Covid-19 report. To leave the country, you can take the Covid-19 test at the airport itself. just make sure to arrive 4 hours prior to your departure.

Weather-wise – May to September are summer months. October is a great month, as its not peak season. So you can expect less crowds and great deals on hotels. November is probably the worst month to visit Serbia since the weather is super unpredictable and it rains all the time. If you love the snow then expect to see that in the mountains from Jan to April.
Pack lots of layers and Waterproof jackets and hoodies. You might need both. 
Don’t take trains. But Serbia very well connected through Public Buses. Public buses have wifi, don’t for to ask for the password.
As for cabs, download the app YandexGo. It works very well in Belgrade and Novi sad. But not in the little villages. 
Negotiate the price before getting into a Cab, if you don’t book through the app. 
The days are super short. Start your day at 7am. The sun sets at 4pm. 
Do not Skip ZEMUN 
Last but not the least, don’t underestimate Belgrade. If you’re a history lover, you’ll need at least 2 full days to explore Belgrade.

How to Find Affordable Alcohol in Dubai

The key to finding the right deals for alcohol in Dubai is to find sellers with promotional deals on alcohol! Wherever they sell alcohol, the store is always running promotions. For example, you can purchase three bottles for 109 dirhams ($29 USD) or three bottles for 119 dirhams. If you find your preferred alcohol in those deals, then you have hit a jackpot! There are deals on everything from beer, whiskey, rum, all the other spirits, and a lot of deals on wines. Now, since I’m a wine lover, I’m going to focus a lot on the wine deals!

Deals on Wine in Dubai

Wine is a staple for many people, but it can be expensive. That’s why we’re going to help you find some of the best deals in Dubai. You can expect yourself to save anything between three dollars to almost fifty dollars on these deals per bottle. So take your time and scout these sellers fully to find the perfect deal for your favorite wine. For example, we found this bottle of wine which we drink regularly and it costs the same as it would if we had to go and purchase it from Rafa Hema. You will see much much better pricing on wines as opposed to whiskey or rum, vodka, or any of the other spirits.

Buy Alcohol in Dubai

Friends, I highly recommend that you find discounted alcohol in Dubai instead of going to Ras Al Khaimah. Going to Ras Al Khaimah is time-consuming and the cost of gas is expensive. Plus, doing so will make it difficult for you because there are strict laws against bringing any kind of liquor into Dubai which makes your ability to drink less accessible when compared with this other emirate!

Do I need a permit to purchase alcohol in Dubai?

Yes! You need to have a permit to purchase alcohol in Dubai. Want to learn more about alcohol laws in Dubai? I’ve got you covered. Dubai residents who are non-muslims can get this license by paying an X amount and you can go ahead and purchase alcohol at these prices. This is the only glitch. Now, there is a way around it in the sense if you have a friend who has a license to purchase alcohol or permit to purchase alcohol, you can always take them along with you and they can help you purchase alcohol.

Happy Hours in Dubai

Now in case you can’t find a friend who has a permit and wants to buy alcohol, there’s an alternative. You could visit any of the pubs or bars that sell alcohol – as long as they’re licensed to serve it! Places like these are busiest during happy hour: when drinks prices get cheaper for only 1-2 hours per day. If this sounds up your alley, swing by one of the many bars in Dubai that offer promotional happy hours! Here are some bars I recommend for finding discounted alcohol in Dubai:

23 Rooftop Bar in Dubai

I love TWENTY-THREE’s rooftop bar in Dubai! It’s no surprise that the bar is located on the 23rd floor, in the Dubai media city. We are here to enjoy the happy hours and they have some great deals. For example, they have $50 off on their wines, house spirits, house beverages, and some beers as well. The happy hour timings are from 4:23 p.m to 7:23 p.m. Since the drinks are 50% off, during happy hour, expect to pay only 23 dirhams ($6 USD) per drink. On a bottle of wine that is usually 200 dirhams, during happy hour it’s only 115 dirhams during happy hour. This is an amazing discount in my opinion. If you’re visiting Dubai in 2021, visit TWENTY-THREE Rooftop bar for their cheap happy hour deals! It’s a really a very relaxing beautiful place. Abu Dhabi Travel Series

This is the last episode in the three-part series of Abu Dhabi. Please check out the others: visiting Dubai in 2021 and travelling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. As you may already know, Abu Dhabi is the capital emirate of the United Arab Emirates, and it has some really cool tourist destinations. Today we’re going to visit one that will make your mind blow with amazement!

Visit the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi

So this is the first time we are coming to the Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi. I have never come here before. And everything is so gold, looks luxurious, super-rich. I loved it! And we are here to try a special cappuccino, and the cafe we are going to is called Lee Café. Gold cappuccino has 23 carrot gold flakes on it. Yay! Hmm, coffee is regular, but it feels nice to have had 23 carrot gold flakes, at least. It is probably the most expensive coffee I’ve ever had in my life. It’s 75 dirhams, which is $19 USD.

Is Abu Dhabi Safe to Travel to Post Covid-19 Pandemic?

Yes! We’re continuing our journey to discover the most visited places in Abu Dhabi. So, if you guys want to come to Abu Dhabi during the pandemic in 2021, it’s open and safe.

Observation Deck at 300

On the top of my fun things to do in Abu Dhabi list is to visit the highest vantage point located in Abu Dhabi. Luckily, we stay right next to it, but given the heat and the amount of makeup I’ve done, we’re taking our car. It’s walking distance, but we’re still taking a car, typical Dubai lifestyle. Let’s go!

Welcome to the Observation Deck at 300. You can get a 300-degree view of Abu Dhabi city from this vantage point. The observation deck is located in the Etihad Towers on the 74th floor. So the Observation Deck at 300 is open every day from 12 pm till 8 pm, except on Sundays, it is closed. As for the entry for the Observation Deck, there are three options you can choose from. Number one, you could decide to come here for an afternoon tea, which is 250 dirhams per person. Another option is to enter for free, but there is a minimum spend of 55 dirhams per person, which you can use towards food and beverage. That’s the option we are going for. There is a third option where you don’t need to eat or drink anything; all you can do is pay 35 dirhams as an entry fee per person. With the third option, you can just look at the views and leave. 

Jubail Mangrove Park

This popular must-see place for Abu Dhabi tourists is located slightly outside the city. If you want to escape the city’s hustle-bustle and do something more nature-driven and something quiet and peaceful, this is the place for you. So, these are the loops that you can do. We are going to do the longest one, which is two kilometres. I don’t know how long it takes, but we can take as long as we want since we are on our own. And there are all these zones that we can cover. Also, please come here during the high tide if you want to see the marine species and birds and, you know, all the wildlife here. So, fingers crossed, we can see that. You could take a general admission; you could also take one where you have a group tour, and the rangers explain everything around the park. There is also a priority rangers tour where you have a private tour with the rangers, and there are activities that you can do. Here you can enjoy a variety of things. Such as stand-up paddling; there is kayaking; there is canoeing and all that kind of stuff that you can do in this park. However, this park is not for picnics. You cannot eat or drink anything on the boardwalk of this park. They have a cafe here, you can have a bite there but you are not allowed to eat or drink anything on the boardwalk. Anyway, let’s go, let’s start our tour. 

Fun Things to Do in Abu Dhabi – Nature Lover’s Must Visit

This is the first self-contained educational nature and leisure destination of its kind in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. It’s a nice boardwalk that will take you through the mangroves and allows you to discover Abu Dhabi in its essence. The opening timings for Jubail Mangrove park are from 7 am to 9 pm, and the last tour is at 8 pm. However, the Jubail Mangrove park does remain closed during the summer months. We are here in May, so it’s obviously open, but I’m guessing anytime from June to probably September, it might be closed. There’s no date fixed or month given yet. Be sure to plan before visiting!

Also in Mangrove park is their fantastic beach, the famous Sadia beach, which is worth sticking around to catch the sunset. We missed out on going to Sadia beach, but instead we enjoyed the beach at our hotel.

Abu Dhabi Tourist – Where are the best beaches in Abu Dhabi?

We are staying in a place called Babul Qasar! The resort has a private beach, a pool, and we haven’t enjoyed a single day in the hotel properly because we’ve been busy exploring this emirate. If you are in Abu Dhabi and want to enjoy a public beach and your hotel property doesn’t have one, the Abu Dhabi Cornish beach is ideal. It is a long stretch of land; it is beautiful. There is a lot you can do. You can ride bicycles, go running, jogging, go for a walk; they have bikes you can rent. They also have those little scooters that you can rent. It’s amazing. So head to the Cornish beach if you have the time at sunset.

Fun Things to Do in Abu Dhabi – Louvre Museum

For a final stop in the Abu Dhabi series, we are visiting the Louvre. It is one of the most visited places in Abu Dhabi ever since it opened its doors to visitors in 2017. We are here to explore this museum, but unfortunately, we have less than an hour. The museum closes at 6:30, and I am coming here at 5:30 so, wow, there’s lots to cover. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an art and civilization museum. The museum is located in the Saadiyat Island Cultural District. The ultimate aim is for visitors to discover how art developed in different cultures and civilizations worldwide. This place has over 12 zones filled with artists worldwide. I recommend saving at least two hours when you visit the Louvre Abu Dhabi. 

Fun Things to Do In Abu Dhabi

I hope you enjoyed my three-part Abu Dhabi tourist guide! I would say it has been truly a grand experience. I did not expect so much magnificence from this one emirate. I have been to Abu Dhabi tons of times, but I’ve never really gone sightseeing or experienced anything per se. My Abu Dhabi favourites are: 

• Yas Island. Here there are three theme parks and it will take at least three days to explore all of that!
• Then there is a whole other side of Abu Dhabi, which is two hours further into the emirates, which is Sarbanyas Island, the Arabian Wildlife Park and all that kind of stuff.
• Wathba Fossil Dunes
• Qasr Al Watan
• and more!!

In Abu Dhabi, there is just so much to do here, I have barely scratched the surface. If you guys come to UAE and want to experience the culture, tradition, and history, then Abu Dhabi must visit. I hope you guys like the blog and this vlog travel series.

Are you wondering if Abu Dhabi is safe to travel to post covid-19 pandemic? Yes, it is absolutely safe. Tourists are allowed to enter the city, however, there are conditions that apply. And just in case you’re coming from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, you will need a PCR test 48 hours prior to entering Abu Dhabi.

Hudairiyat Island, Abu Dhabi

Hudairiyat Island is a thrilling Arabian travel must see. Be sure to add this jewel to your Hudairiyat Island is a brand new island and really massive. Like typical UAE, everything is large and lavish! Here, there are a lot of bike trails for running, jogging, and cycling. There is truly a lot to do here. Spending the day at Hudairiyat Island could be the perfect place to spend the entire day with your family and friends. I would totally recommend having a picnic here. We explored the Marsana part of the island where there is an obstacle course and lots of entertainment on the waterfront promenade. Theres a beautiful beach that isn’t very crowded. Qasr Al Hosn, Abu Dhabi – Oldest Stone Building in Abu Dhabi

Explore a truly historic building in the heart of the city centre of Abu Dhabi! Qasr Al Hosn is the oldest standing building, as it ages back to 1790! That’s what’s so amazing about traveling the UAE, there is so much rich culture heritage mixed with luxury and impeccable architecture. Qasr Al Hosn overlooked the coastal trade routes and protected the settlements on the island, serving as a watchtower to protect the The museum artefacts date back to 6000 B.C. It’s interesting as the routing family has changed the lives of the surrounding communities.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi

This is one of the most impressive mosques in the UAE. One of the world’s largest mosques captures the synergy of Islam and the other world cultures. Visitors can come except during prayer time. The entrance is free, or free to roam as you please. Also, there is a free 25 minute guided tour if you want to take advantage to learn more about the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. I loved spending time here. It was a peaceful, serene and thought-provoking visit.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Clothing Requirements

If you’re traveling to Abu Dhabi post covid-19 pandemic, it’s important to know that the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque doesn’t provide a free veil anymore. Plus, you must be conservatively dressed. Minimal exposure of skin, especially hair and feet. Before you could get something to wear, now not anymore. When visiting Mosques in the UAE, be sure to always check the clothing requirements. Especially if you’re visiting Abu Dhabi in 2021.

Travel Abu Dhabi: Visit Wahat Al Karama

Wahat Al Karama is right beside the Grand mosque. From here, you can see unbelievable views of the Grand Mosque. This monumental mosque is truly GRAND. When we got to Wahat Al Karama, we realized there is much more than meets the eye. Wahat Al Karama is a UAE monument for all our fallen soldiers. In english, the name is translated to “Oasis of Dignity”. There are 31 massive tables that lean on each-other to symbolize the unity and solidarity and mutual support that mind of leadership of the service men and woman who protect them. The founding president of the UAE wrote out beautiful poetic verses on each tablet. When visiting Abu Dhabi, it’s neat to check out Wahat Al Karama. Ideally you want to visit in the evening to take the best pictures.

Travel Abu Dhabi 2021 Covid Restrictions

Abu Dhabi is open! You can absolutely travel here during the Covid-19 pandemic. But, there are restrictions that I was surprised about. Like, at the Grand Mosque, you must bring clothes that are loose and long to wear. I was surprised that you need to register online, they do not print out tickets. The museum was also paper-less, with tickets being emailed to our phones.

Travel Abu Dhabi!

Where to Stay Abu Dhabi

Situated right in the Abu Dhabi city center, this hotel is in the best location. We’re staying in a residence, aka an apartment-style hotel room. In our hotel room, we have a kitchen and a washing machine! Wow, we also had a huge fridge in our Abu Dhabi hotel room. I highly recommend the Bab Al Qasr Hotel!  

Places to Explore in Abu Dhabi

1. Wathba Fossil Dunes all in Abu Dhabi

The Wathba Fossil Dunes are a must-see when visiting Abu Dhabi from ubai. This popular tourist attraction is located on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi. You don’t need a 4×4 vehicle to visit the fossil dunes. It’s absolutely beautiful to see the fossil dunes and free! I wouldn’t recommend touching them as they are incredibly fragile. I recommend just taking Instagram-worthy pictures and enjoying the desert life of Abu Dhabi. The best time to visit is the “golden hour” which is sunset.

2. Qasr Al Watan

Spend some time admiring the beautiful architecture of Qasr Al Watan. You’ll definitely fall in love with Arab culture’s rich history after visiting Qasr Al Watan. This presidential palace of Abu Dhabi is royalty at its finest! Construction began in 2010 and completed in 2017. It’s built with precious limestone and bright granite.  

Fall in love with Arab heritage and design when you visit the Qasr Al Watan. Located inside the Presidential Palace complex, the structure will amaze you with its dramatic architecture, lush gardens, and overall grandeur.

A ticket to visit Qasr Al Watan is affordable and grants your access to many exhibits within the palace. In the evening, there is a light show that I hear is with checking out!

Spend some time exploring the palace to marvel at the majestic hallways. Explore exhibitions and learn more about the rich Arabic history that shaped the great nation of the UAE. 3. Yas Island 

Yas Island is massive! There is a lot to do here on what’s known as “water’s greatest playground”. It’s impossible to be bored while visiting Yas Island. It’s definitely worth spending some time exploring Yas Island during your Abu Dhabi travel itinerary. You won’t believe how crazy fun this place is. How to Optimize YouTube Video Descriptions To Get More Views

I’m going to share my screen and I’ll show you exactly everything you need to know about how to optimize your descriptions for YouTube to gain more views and be more searchable on YouTube in 2021. Three Ways to Optimize YouTube Video Descriptions

1. Title
2. Thumbnail
3. Description box optimization

What you write in your video description box is extremely vital. This is where your audience and the YouTube algorithms will learn what your video is actually about. If the YouTube algorithm does not know what your video is about then it will not be able to show it to the right audience. Hence, it is extremely important that you use the right words or rather keywords to optimize your description box, your titles, your tags, and your thumbnails, so that YouTube algorithm can figure out who to show your video to and which audience is most likely to enjoy your videos and stick around.

YouTube Studio – Optimize Video Descriptions Here

From your dashboard, click on settings, and that’s where you can find this tab called upload defaults. So earlier what I used to do is just write in my notes and keep copy pasting whatever I wanted repeated in my description box for each and every video until I found this. This is where you can put in all the information that you always repeat in all your description boxes. For example, your social media links or your free guide or anything like that, you can just copy paste. I mean you can write everything here, and whenever you post a new video, it will automatically show up.

YouTube Channel Dashboard – Keyword Descriptions

Now on to the next step, which is the most important part of the description box, which is to add the right keywords. So, there are two types of keywords. One is the primary keyword that goes in your title, and the second, secondary keywords basically are variations of the title itself. You want to ideally use your title in the first hundred words of your description box when you start writing the description of your video, and then you use some secondary keywords. See what I did for my previous video, how to have more confidence on camera. In the description, you’ll notice how I used “struggle of low self-confidence” then, there are “tips for developing confidence on camera for you”.

This is the secondary keyword. So, these are a few examples of how you can use variations of your primary keyword and add them all to your description box, but make sure you’re not stuffing keywords because YouTube algorithm will catch it if you are not sounding human and just trying to stuff keywords. Instead, write naturally with the right keywords your video pertains to.

How Should My Video Description Book Look Like?

Ideally, everything should be clean, clear, and sectioned off. You can create a section to add playlists for your audience to go see similar videos. Also, you can add your social media links. If you use services like I do, such as Tubebuddy then you can add the link there too. You can add that if you’ve used any services like I use sound, I use a Tubebuddy as a keyword research tool. I have affiliate links for those programs, so any affiliate links you have, add them into your YouTube description box.

How I Find the Right Keywords to Plug into the Description Box?

I use this tool called Tubebuddy. This is literally the best investment I have made ever since I started my YouTube channel. Soon I will create another VLOG where I go in-depth about how to use the Tubebuddy tool because there are so many features. For now, I don’t want to overwhelm you. So, for now, let’s use keyword explorer. You want to type in the ideal keyword for a video that you’re creating. The first video I used it for was a video I created about alcohol in Dubai or the cost of alcohol in Dubai. Even though I created this video back in August, the score of that keyword is still pretty good, which means that this video is still being brought up in YouTube search results and ranking pretty well.

How to Rank on YouTube with Tubebuddy?

Thanks to doing keyword research with Tubebuddy, my videos show up on the first page of YouTube for certain keywords. For example, let’s go to YouTube and check if we type in alcohol in Dubai, does my video show up? Yes, it does!  I show up not only on the first page but I rank number one. I created another video for alcohol in Dubai and that ranks number two! The first time I used Tube Buddy for a video about alcohol in Dubai, my channel views went 246% high and my views went from 280 to 970 in one day.

How Much Does Tubebuddy Cost?

When I purchased the pro version of Tubebuddy I had less than thousand subscribers, so I paid 50% of that amount. Plus, if you use my affiliate link, you will also help support me. Also, there are a bunch of membership perks. For example, you can get the royalty free music, the epidemic sound membership discount, you can get tools like high quality graphics, video effects, animations, video editing tools, and so much more. So, I would say if you want to grow your YouTube channel and use the right tool for keyword research and show up on YouTube search, then Tubebuddy is your best friend.

YouTube Analytics

Another way of assessing whether the Tubebuddy is actually working for you, go to the YouTube analytics. From there, and you can see the traffic source. You see how much traffic is actually coming, how much percentage of traffic is coming from YouTube search and you will know whether Tubebuddy is working or not. Now let’s look at the alcohol in Dubai video and check the traffic source in the analytics for that particular video. And I won’t be surprised, let’s see what it says. Let’s go to reach. Whoa, see. It says 90% of the traffic driven to this particular video comes from YouTube search. So now you know how important it is to do the right keyword research and how important it is to plug in these keywords in your description box so that you can rank as high as possible and show up on YouTube search results.

Get a Higher Audience Retention for YouTube Videos

The description box also gets you a higher audience retention! This was released sometime mid 2020 but I didn’t know this up until recently, and these are called timestamps or chapters, and this is how you add these to your description box. You have to start with zero zero seconds, which is intro. And then every single place where you switch locations or topics or tips, create a timestamp and a topic right beside it. So, if you’re covering a range of things in your video, you can place the timestamp and the topic right next to it. You have to make sure that this is what your audience is going to see. If they want to jump topic, then the topic that you write next to the timestamp is what your audience will see and it has to be captivating for them to stay interested or jump to it.

Add Meaningful Links in Your YouTube Description Boxes

The next tip is to add specific content that is information-based. Any video which is packed with information and whatever resources you are referring to, be sure to add the links to all of that. For example, when I visited the best unique experiences in Dubai, I made sure to add all the links to the places I visited. Plus, I added Google Maps links to the unique experiences I had. In case they were remote and difficult to find, I made sure to add the Google Maps link to it as well. Likewise, when I did the video on the how-to vlog with your iPhone tutorial, I listed all the products I used and mentioned them in my vlog so that it’s easier for my audience to purchase them.

Turn Subscribers into Warm Leads

This last tip is essential for the growth of your YouTube success. If you want to turn your views and subscribers into warm leads, then you must start an e-mail list. The objective is to take them off YouTube. The best way to do that is by creating a free guide or anything that actually is helpful for your audience and add the link to that in your description box. For example, I’ve created this detailed YouTube guide which is absolutely free to download. If you want to start your YouTube journey or you feel stuck in your YouTube journey and you want to grow and monetize your channel, then you can go ahead and download it now. This way you get more value out of me than just a 10-minute video on a weekly basis on YouTube. If you want to build a relationship and community with your viewers and subscribers, make sure to add the link to your freebie in your description box. Do not forget that. And add it right in the beginning, because if they end up not reading the entire paragraph, they at least have the link to your freebie in the first couple of sentences themselves.

Are you wondering, “How to be more confident on camera for YouTube”?! 

I understand that starting a YouTube channel, and putting your content out there, that itself could be quite daunting. But if you have to bear that along with being in front of the camera, showing your face to the audience to hundreds of thousands of people who watch your videos, it can be even more daunting. Especially if you’re not experienced! Without being prepared, it’s easy to just freeze in your tracks. So I’ll give you my two cents about how to be more confident on camera.

No confidence now? You can become confident on camera! 

My friend Joshua, who is half Indian, half Filipino and was raised in Dubai. So clearly he was suffering from an identity crisis and he lacked confidence immensely. He always felt the odd one out, he couldn’t even talk to people in his own age group, face to face. But he found his passion in comedy. And from having no confidence in talking to a person’s face to face, he went on to become a stand upcomedian. Who else to give you good advice on how to be more confident on camera? So I asked him to give a few tips so that it could help my audience. So let’s go and let’s see what he has to say.

How to be More Confident on Camera for YouTube – Check Out These Three Tips!

Joshua, from the half a nice day podcast has been so kind to share valuable advice on how you too can become more confident on camera:

1. Practice makes perfect

So the first one is practice makes perfect. This is your craft. If you want to, you have to hone your craft, make sure that you practice every day! I take time every weekend to practice speaking camera!  And one tip I would suggest to practicing is making eye contact in front of the camera and just go and talk. Treat your reflection as your best friend, keep it going, make sure you have eye contact so you can be fully aware of what you’re talking about. 

Practice speaking to a friend or someone you are comfortable talking to when you are filming yourself!

Also, speak naturally until you get used to having a camera right in front of you and you’re talking to it as if it’s just one of your friends. Each time you record content and speak in front of a camera, imagine you’re talking to your spouse, friend or anyone that you’re actually comfortable talking to. Or, you can imagine the one person this video is actually targeted towards and think about that person as if you are explaining, whatever it is that you need to explain in your video, to that one person! If it makes it easier for you, I would say take a picture of the person that you’re comfortable talking to under the lens of your camera so that you have that person’s face in front of you when you’re talking to them instead of just talking to the lens which could be pretty odd in the beginning. 

2. Take your camera everywhere to develop confidence talking on camera! 

Another tip for you in terms of practicing with your camera is to take it everywhere. The whole idea is to be natural and has a natural conversation with a camera, or with your audience rather. So take your camera everywhere, film everything that you do, it will make it normal for you to be in front of the camera and then creating content will be a piece of cake. So carrying on from my point of being yourself let’s listen to what Joshua’s girlfriend Janine has to say about being more confident on camera. 

“Second point is being authentic. So make sure that you talk a little bit more about your personal life, giving the audience or your viewers a little bit more about yourself. And just showing your true self. There are a lot of creators now. There are a lot of people who are filming themselves putting content out there, but I think one of the things that would get you or separate you from those creators is just showing your true self and not walking the same path as everyone else”

How to be More Confident on Camera for YouTube – Be Your Authentic Self

There are so many creators out there, on every single day, there are so many creators hopping on YouTube. One of the best ways to set yourself apart is to use your authentic self. People respect honesty, they recognize authenticity. So don’t be afraid to be yourself. I understand, being a woman, no matter what culture you brought up in, women are very critically judged for being too thin, too fat, too dark, too fair. So that’s why we are very hard on ourselves as well. Not fair. Just go with it. You know, be yourself. People love weirdness, quirkiness. If it makes you more confident and more comfortable, then don’t be afraid to slap on some makeup, wear some jewelry, or wear the best dress in your wardrobe. Whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident, go ahead and do it. And in case after video, you’re wondering how do I even start? Even if I get my guts together and be confident on camera, how do I even start this YouTube journey? Well, don’t fret it.

3. Don’t be afraid to edit

And I think this goes back with the first point as well. As much as you practice going in front of a camera, in front of talking to you like in front of a mirror and going and talking to yourself. The greatest platform that we have and the greatest tool that we have as well is editing. So I know like all of us are not perfect as well and keep stammering and forgetting a word just like me right now. So I think editing is a great tool that helps you smoothen your transitions and editing, you can cut off some words that you might have mispronounced or you might have said unnecessarily. The power we have after we film ourselves is to edit, we can edit all the things that we don’t like. 

Bonus Tip – Avoid Using a Script

Another piece of advice I have for you is do not to use a script, avoid using a script. I know a lot of creators out there would actually advise you otherwise but my point is that you already know what you want to speak, you already know your information that you want to give to your audience. If you don’t know that, then I guess you should not be creating content in the first place. Rather than having a script, have a few bullet points so that it reminds you of all the important topics that you need to cover in the video. But don’t have a script. What happens is that you are so hell-bent on the words of that particular script that, if you forget a word or two, you’re pretty much frozen and your entire content goes out of the window. Plus, it makes you sound extremely robotic. 

Bonus Tip 2 – Add Your Own Spin & Twist To Your Content

Yes, yes, yes watch other creators, see what it is that they do that you like to incorporate in your video but add your own spin and twist to it! Be sure to bring your authentic self to that style and showcase it in your videos. Plus, when you see other creators, you will realize that there are things that you can do better than them as well. So why don’t you go ahead and find those gaps and fill them with your content? 

Final Piece of Advice for How to be More Confident on Camera for YouTube

Be sure to get into the right mood before you start recording. Whether it is to pump up your energy with a dance number from Beyonce or Shakira or you want to calm yourself down and meditate for five minutes, do some breath work, or well, if you are anything like me, have a glass of wine! Now, I’m not encouraging you to go and have a drink every single time you go on camera but if that works for you, and you like it, then why not?

Easy to follow steps to start creating content with your iPhone

Hi, I’m Amreen! I’m a a successful YouTuber who was able to monetize my YouTube channel in just under one year. I know you can too! I started creating content for my YouTube channel with my iPhone and a selfie stick. I will walk you through the steps to set up your iPhone to create content in 2021.

1. Clean your camera lens! It seems straight forward but a lot of people don’t do it. So before you start capturing any content on your iPhone do clean the camera lens. Trust me, it makes a big difference when you do! There is dust particles on the lens that are not always apparent to the naked eye.
2. Look at the camera lens when you speak. That is the little dot above the iPhone. Don’t look. at the phone during selfie mode, instead, look at the lens!
3. Fix your camera angle. You want to position the camera slightly higher than your head. It’s very unflattering to capture content with your camera down looking up at you. Instead, you want to position the camera slightly higher to get the best angle.

Must Set Up iPhone Camera Settings

1. Choose 1080p or 4k on your iPhone camera settings.
2. Choose the frames per second (fps). These is the frames it will capture within seconds. For a smooth feel, you can film at 120 fps

1080p or 4k?! Which is Best?

People ask me all the time if they should film in 1080 p or 4k. I shoot in 1080p which is full HD. For someone just starting off on YouTube, you don’t want to invest so much money in equipment. If you want to shoot in 4k or 8k, you need additional equipment. If your system can handle 4k, that’s fine. But, how many people actually view videos on YouTube on their phones versus 4K TVs?

Should we shoot front camera or back camera?

The back camera is higher in quality than using the front camera. I only use my front camera when I’m talking to you. I highly recommend not using your front camera when you’re creating content for a YouTube vlog. When I film my content, I always use the back camera. I also use the time-lapse option a lot.

How can I keep my iPhone stable?

I invested in an iPhone stabilizer. The DJI 3-axis gimble is great for capturing stable content. You can also add your mic to the gimble. I highly recommend investing in a gimble instead of constantly having to walk like a duck!

Invest in external audio for best Vlogging on your iPhone

The audio off your iPhone is very good. For almost four months I used my iPhone built-in audio. But, eventually, I invested in external audio to keep vlogging on my iPhone. I invested in a rode mic. I also use the shoot boya for vlogs when I am talking a lot. However, the rode mic is much, much better quality for recording vlogs with an iPhone. If you’re planning to use the built-in iPhone audio for recording, it will not be good in high-traffic areas. You will also need to be very close to the iPhone. The further you go from the iPhone, the harder it will be to hear you properly.

Lighting Tips for iPhone Vlogging

I usually always film my content during the day to take advantage of the natural sunlight. However, for indoor content creation, I use a ring light. When I film my YouTube tutorials inside, I use a ring light.

Tripod or Selfie Stick for iPhone Content Creation

There are many types of different selfie sticks and tripods that you can buy for creating vlogs for YouTube. The one I bought is very compact and has a Bluetooth remote. It is also a selfie stick and a tripod all is one. I highly recommend this product! I love it because it’s compact and great for recording content on the go!

iPhone Battery Pack

A power bank is essential to have as the iPhone battery doesn’t last very long. The one I have is pretty heavy but it’s amazing. I can truly depend on this battery pack because It’s powerfully long-lasting! On just one charge, the battery pack lasts me 48 hours. If I’m filming all day with my iPhone, I use this battery pack three times! It is incredibly handy and I highly recommend it for vlogging with an iPhone.
