How to Monetize Youtube Videos in 2021 – 5 Tips

1)What is quality content? Content that is valuable, and solves problems. Either your content solves a problem, answers questions or gives value, this is the content that will attract quality subscribers. What is a quality subscriber? A subscriber that watches your videos until the very end! The retention rate of your video matters. If your retention rate is very low then the YouTube algorithm will not rank your videos high. So, you want subscribers to watch the video and share it amongst their peers! Especially within 24 hrs of publishing your video!

2) Niche down! I talk about niching down all the time. This is so important. This is important because if you’re talking about everything under the sun, you are not attracting the right audience. What is the audience you wish to attract? You want to be giving value to a topic that you are an expert in. If you are an expert, show off your knowledge in that niche.

3) Consistency. If you don’t have a niche or no focus on one specific topic then you will burn out quickly. It’s too hard to learn about too many things. This is why point #2 is so important! I have a friend who had a YouTube channel who wouldn’t take their channel seriously. They would 

4) Have your title optimized. Use a keyword search tool. The primary keyword is a word or a phrase that people are searching for on YouTube. That phrase becomes the title of your video! So, when they look for that phrase, your video comes up! The secondary keyword is about 8 keywords that you can use in the video description. You need to sound human for the YouTube algorithm so you cannot just stuff keywords everywhere. Instead, create content with 

4.2) Another tip regarding keyword optimization, attempt to rank for keywords with low competition, but high search volume. I would avoid trying to rank for keywords that already have so many other videos on. Instead, be unique and fill a demand! That is what the YouTube algorithm likes and this way, you’ll reach monetization quicker! Aim for a keyword within 100 and 1000 monthly searches, with a low competition score! Focus on those keywords instead of ones without high search volume, and be sure to avoid the high competition keywords (at least at the beginning of your YouTube channel).

5) Share, Share, Share! Especially within the first 24 hours of publishing your video. If you’re on other social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, share it! If you have an e-mail newsletter, share it there! YouTube will see your video as relevant if a lot of people are watching your video. YouTube will then see that your video is sharable and therefore interesting for other people!
